Introducing the new model FD85

Horizon Yachts, one of the most advanced shipyards in the world in the yacht building “to order”, launched a new unique line. To emphasize the uniqueness Horizon FD85, the designers developed a completely new concept.

To equip the new model did not fit the hull displacement type due to the presence of speed limitations of its design. Although for many years the work of Horizon Yachts was convinced that many yacht owners prefer to walk at speeds of 12-15 knots (even if their ship can go faster), these figures are unattainable for large and heavy yachts with hull displacement type about 24 meters in length. Experience tells me that sailors are not always looking for high-speed performance, indicating sufficient maximum speed of 18 knots.

This fact prompted us to compare different shapes and create combinations of the best indicators of a displacement hull and the planing type. The result is a FAST DISPLACEMENT HULL.

We are pleased to introduce this new type of housing in our line FD (Fast Displacement) from model Horizon FD85, designed design team Cor D. Rover from the Netherlands.

New сonstruction Horizon FD85 has already begun. The finished yacht will be presented to the public and to the public next spring.
